After Utopia

EXHIBITION BRANDING & DESIGN
Singapore Art Museum

After Utopia explores the meaning of utopia as named after writer Thomas More’s conjoined greek words of utopia — for “good place” and “no place”. It seeks to ask where have we located our utopias, and the utopias that we have aspired to.

The font sets a futuristic, hard-edged, steel feel against an early 19th century tropical forest lithograph. It shows the contrast of different utopias and what it means to different people at different times. This represents the exhibition that is diverse in the various artist representation of their own utopian worlds, set in the past, present and future, while it makes you ponder about your own utopia.
