A personal project with Angie Featherstone about self acceptance and friendship through a heavily illustrated well-told light hearted story.

A kit was developed with activity sheets to engage readers so it goes beyond the story, like bonus clips in a movie. The original accordion form was done such that there is no break in the story. It also shows the transition of bright to dark to bright again, following the mood of the lead character and story. Each character were given their own personality with flaws and quirks. The coloured pencil medium was used to give it a raw unfinished feel, again to depict that imperfection can be perfect too.

Our book was made into a 3-minute animation piece for a children's television programme, Tales Alive. Developed by Peach Blossom Media, it aired on Singapore's free-to-air children's channel, OKTO.
